If you already have an existing student account but need an instructor or TA account:
- Join an existing course: Ask the course creator to add you as an instructor or TA on the roster. Once you've been added, you'll have full instructor/TA permissions which let you create your own courses and assignments, add students, and more.
- Create a new course: If your institution uses an LMS and you have instructor access there, you can create a new assignment in the LMS and link it to Gradescope. This process will automatically generate the correct instructor account for you.

If your instructor account was created using a different email address than the one associated with your student account, you can merge the two. For step-by-step instructions, see our article on merging accounts.
